An Ode to Nap Time… April 22, 2008
Nap time, oh nap time, how you have been my friend.
I can scarcely believe our time together is drawing to an end.
I remember when first I learned your name,
You were the only thing that kept me sane.
And now my children have grown beyond your grasp,
How has time had such a big laps?
Oh to quickly you have fled and vanished,
To soon from my home you have been banished.
It was a good run, I must admit,
That daily hour and a half I’ll never forget.
To sit and stare at the wall
While downing ice cream, says it all.
Good-bye my dear, dear friend,
It is time to accept that this is the end.
Oh, yes…I am dreading of saying goodbye to that good friend as well. My condolences to you.
Thank you for your kind words… I almost feel like I need to erect a tombstone or something. It was a good run though, so I can’t complain to much! H
